This super duper quick tip shows you how to insert a shape in PowerPoint 2007 or higher or compatible.

Steps to insert a shape in PowerPoint

Follow the steps below to add any shape onto a PowerPoint slide.

Add a shape in PowerPoint
  1. Click Insert from the menu bar.
  2. Select Shapes from the Illustrations group.
  3. Within the Illustrations group, choose a shape to insert onto the slide. We chose a triangle. Click anywhere on the slide and your shape will appear.

Similarly to our shape below, your shape is now on a slide in PowerPoint.
